Restaurants & Ceramists

Ceramist Divya Dandona Jaswal at Chi Asian Cookhouse

Divya is a management graduate; after a creative stint and out of sheer love for art & design she got a chance to explore Studio Pottery. This interaction with clay gradually and eventually has become the entity of her life. She has participated in group exhibitions in Delhi & Gurgaon.

She has learnt pottery at Delhi Blue-Sanskriti Ceramic Centre under the guidance of Arun Mukhuty. Now, she runs her own Studio in Gurgaon– Studio 694; and conducts clay sessions and corporate workshops.

Chi Asian Cookhouse is a celebration of the best that Asia’s streets have to offer. Our food is familiar, comforting and fuss free. Our space is as vibrant as the streets these foods come from, bringing together flavours and history from regions as diverse as Thailand to Japan to Vietnam to China. It is fun, friendly, casual and colourful.

Ceramist Tinni Arora at Rustom’s

After learning under the guidance of renowned Indian potter Ms. Rachna Parasher (2010-12’), I got the opportunity for a yearlong apprenticeship at Leach Pottery in England (2013-14)

Since, then there has been no looking back, with various summer internships abroad and part time ceramic teacher at Pathways School, Noida.

My experience in ceramics continues to grow; I love every aspect of it from throwing to glazing to firing.

Rustom’s is now one step closer to offering the only true-blue Parsi dining experience in New Delhi. Shifting homes from the hustle and bustle of busy Adhchini, the restaurant now manages the canteen of the iconic ‘Delhi Parsi Anjuman’ on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg.
Rustom’s showcases Parsi delicacies beyond the popular favourites—Dhansak and Salli Boti—focusing instead on the rich culinary diversity of the cuisine. Revisiting old favourites and forgotten recipes and introducing diners to some of the lesser-known Parsi delights is what the menu is all about. While meat lovers will enjoy the community’s affinity towards meat and egg-based dishes, we have ensured that vegetarians are not alienated with our focused and researched approach to meat-free dishes.
For our child-at-heart guests we’ve got some jam thumbprint cookies and mawa cakes that will leave you longing for your childhood. Our Parsi love for eggs has not been forgotten either. With indulgent Akoori made three ways with mutton boti, chicken and the classic way; Parsi masala omelettes, breakfast sandwiches and Parsi crepes, you’ve got an all-day-breakfast fit for an Irani wrestler. So do drop by for a hearty lunch or just for a cup of Parsi chai or freshly brewed Blue Tokai Coffee and a side of Maska Pao.
